Who we are

Final Fix is a pilot training app by AG Development LLC, an Arizona limited liability company ("we"). This policy explains what the app collects, why, who helps us run it and the choices you have. Questions: support@finalfixapp.com.

What we collect

An account. The first time you open Final Fix it creates an anonymous account for you, with no name, email or password. If you choose "Save your account", we also keep the email address you confirm with a 6-digit code, or the sign-in Apple gives us when you use Sign in with Apple (if you pick "Hide my email", that is an Apple relay address, not your real one).

Your profile. Your username (shown on leaderboards), a friend code, the states, airplanes, ratings, training tracks and home airport you pick at sign-up, and your logo (an emblem, or a photo you choose; a photo is shrunk and saved with your progress).

Your training progress, backed up so it follows you to a new phone: lessons and tests passed, XP, level, gallons, streak days, badges, answers you got wrong (for Review), drills, reminders settings, E6B favorites, and anything you log yourself, such as checkride dates, flights for the currency tracker and a checkride date for the countdown.

Friends and groups. The friends you add with a friend code. If you join an instructor or a flight school with their code, the fact that you joined them.

CFI-Bot. The questions you type to CFI-Bot, your oral exam answers and stage check questions you paste in are sent to our server and to Anthropic (below) to write the answer. We keep a count of how many questions you asked, to enforce the hourly and daily limits. Stage check plans are saved only on your phone.

Reports. If you report a leaderboard name, we keep who reported which name.

Usage limits. To stop abuse (for example checking usernames too fast), our server briefly counts requests per account or per device internet address. These counts are not used for anything else.

We do not collect your location, contacts, or any payment details. There are no ads and no tracking across other apps or websites. The app has no analytics service.

What stays on your phone

Streak reminders are scheduled on your phone; we never get a push token. Your scratch-pad notes (copy a clearance) and stage check plans stay on your phone. Weather (aviationweather.gov, NOAA) and FAA charts are loaded by your phone straight from those government websites, which see your phone’s internet address like any website does.

What other pilots can see

On leaderboards, other pilots see your username (or "Pilot" and a number until you pick one), your streak, XP and waypoints. Friends you add see the same. They never see your email, your sign-in or your answers.

If you join an instructor (CFI) with their code, that instructor sees a summary of your training: level, streak, lessons and tests passed and when you last trained. If you join a flight school, the school leaderboard shows the same summary to its members. You can leave at any time, and they stop seeing it.

Who helps us run the app

Supabase stores accounts and backups and runs our server code (United States).

Anthropic writes CFI-Bot’s answers. It gets the question and the training details needed to answer it (such as your ratings), never your email or name. Anthropic’s commercial terms do not let it train its models on this data.

Resend sends the sign-in code emails, so it sees the email address you enter.

Apple provides Sign in with Apple and delivers the app (TestFlight and the App Store).

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and backup while you have an account. Usage-limit counts are deleted after about a day. When you delete your account, your profile, progress backup, friends, group memberships and reports are deleted from our server right away; copies in our host’s routine backups expire on their own schedule.

Your choices

Delete your account in the app: Profile → Delete my account. This deletes everything on our server and resets the app on your phone.

Change your username in Profile at any time, leave an instructor or school, remove friends from the leaderboard, and turn reminders off.

To ask for a copy of your information or anything else about your privacy, email support@finalfixapp.com.

Children

Final Fix is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child under 13 has an account, email us and we will delete it.

Security

Your information travels encrypted (HTTPS). On our server each account can only read its own rows; leaderboards and instructor views go through checks that return names and numbers only. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and keep only what the app needs.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
