The deal
These terms are an agreement between you and AG Development LLC about using Final Fix. By using the app you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
Training only, never for navigation
Final Fix is a study aid. It is not approved by the FAA, it is not a flight instructor, and it is not for navigation or flight planning. Charts, procedures, weather and airplane numbers in the app may be out of date, simplified or wrong. Always use current official FAA publications, your airplane’s own flight manual (POH/AFM), an official weather briefing and ATC instructions when you fly.
Practice clearances, radio calls and scenarios are made for training. Your real clearance and instructions always come from ATC.
The currency tracker, checkride countdown and endorsement samples are reminders, not legal advice. Your logbook, your instructor and 14 CFR decide whether you are current, ready or endorsed.
CFI-Bot
CFI-Bot is an AI. It can be wrong, even when it sounds sure and cites a source. Check what it says against the FAA source and with a real instructor. It does not replace instruction from a certificated flight instructor, and passing a practice oral does not mean you will pass a checkride.
Your account
Keep your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account. You can delete it at any time in Profile.
Be decent
Pick a username that is not rude, hateful or pretending to be someone else or someone official. Do not try to break, overload or get around the limits of the app or its server, read other people’s information, or use CFI-Bot for anything other than learning to fly. We may reset names, limit features or close accounts that break these rules.
Instructors and schools
If you share your training with an instructor or a school, you choose to let them see the summary described in the Privacy Policy. Instructors and schools must use it only to help their students train.
The app itself
Final Fix is free. The app, its design and its lessons belong to us. FAA charts, the AIM, 14 CFR and government weather are public information from the FAA and NOAA; the app shows where each fact comes from. Final Fix is not affiliated with the FAA, NOAA, or any airplane or avionics maker.
No warranty, and limits
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or for anything that happens because you relied on the app instead of official sources, your instructor or ATC. Where the law does not allow these limits, they apply as far as it does.
Changes and the law
We may change these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and using the app after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of Arizona, USA.
