Who we are

MartinSports ("we", "us") is a sports app for scores, your fantasy players, injuries, information-only odds and an AI assistant called Martin. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is written in plain English, not legal language.

MartinSports is an app by AG Development LLC, an Arizona limited liability company. "We" and "us" in this policy mean AG Development LLC.

What we collect

Account: your email, username and password (stored securely by our sign-in provider; we never see it in plain text), or your Apple or Google sign-in ID if you use those. Your username is the name other people see.

Your choices in the app: favorite teams, the players on your roster, players you watch (the ☆ on a player page), the fantasy teams you connect (for example your Sleeper username and league, your Yahoo leagues, or the ESPN team your phone reads), each team’s scoring and lineup settings, alert settings, starred injuries, display settings, and pick’em leagues and picks.

Your fan poll picks (“Who will win?” on each game; only totals are shown to others).

Things you post: chat messages, and any reports or blocks you make. Chat messages are checked against our community guidelines, first by a word filter and then by an automated AI check that runs right after posting; messages that break the rules are removed and count as a strike. Strikes, chat bans and reports about you are kept with your account.

Your profile picture, if you add one: stored privately so only you can see it, shown in your own app only. Removing it, or deleting your account, deletes it.

ESPN fantasy teams you connect (phone apps): see “ESPN fantasy teams” below.

Yahoo: you sign in on Yahoo’s own page; MartinSports never sees your Yahoo password. Yahoo then gives us read-only access to your Yahoo fantasy football teams through Yahoo’s official Fantasy Sports API, so we can read your leagues, your roster, your league’s settings and scoring, your waiver budget, your league’s standings and which players are on teams in your league. We can’t change anything on Yahoo. Yahoo’s sign-in pass (a “refresh token”) is kept only on our servers, never in the app, and is used only to update your Yahoo teams (once a day, before game days, and about once a minute while My Players is open). Tap Disconnect Yahoo under Import to delete it from our servers (your imported teams stay until you remove them); you can also remove MartinSports in your Yahoo account settings. Deleting your MartinSports account deletes it too.

Roster and scoring screenshots you choose to import: sent to our server and our AI provider to read the players or settings, then discarded. We don’t keep the images.

Martin AI questions: your question, and for waiver questions ESPN’s list of available players (if you connected ESPN), are sent with the related sports data to our AI provider to write the answer. We don’t save your conversations; we only count how many questions you’ve used.

Notifications: your phone’s push token, so we can send the alerts you turned on. Every alert is also saved in your in-app Alerts inbox. Game reminders (the bell on a game) are scheduled on your phone itself and never leave it.

Live game cards (iPhone): if you follow a game on your lock screen, or switch on automatic cards, we keep the addresses Apple gives your iPhone for those cards, which games they are for, and what each card last showed, so we can update them. They are deleted three days after the card closes, and when you sign out.

Purchases: whether you have Martin AI Pro and when it renews, from Apple, Google and RevenueCat, or that MartinSports gave you Pro and until when. We never receive your card or bank details.

Rewarded ads (phone apps): if you choose to watch an ad for an extra Martin AI question, Google tells our server your account ID and the ad’s transaction ID so we can give you the question once.

When you last opened the app while signed in, so we can count how many people use it (only totals are ever seen, never who).

Usage: which games you opened while they were live (only totals are ever shown to others, never who watched), and, in the phone apps, anonymous app usage and crash reports (which screens are used, what went wrong) to fix bugs and improve the app. These contain no name, email or account ID, are off until we set them up, and you can turn them off in Account → Privacy.

Your device’s network address, briefly, to limit how often signed-out actions (such as log-in attempts) can be repeated. It isn’t kept with your account.

Settings kept on your phone only: the last league you looked at, whether you’ve seen the Martin intro, recent searches, your odds and fantasy display choices, and a copy of public sports data so the app opens fast. These never reach our servers (your display choices are also saved to your profile so they follow you).

If a MartinSports admin acts on your account (gives you Pro, a strike, a mute or a ban), we log what was done, when and by which admin.

ESPN fantasy teams

How we get it: You sign in on ESPN’s own page inside the app. Your password goes straight to ESPN; MartinSports never sees it. ESPN then gives your phone a sign-in pass (two ESPN cookies), and the app uses it to read your ESPN fantasy football leagues, your roster, your lineup, your league’s standings and this week’s matchup directly from ESPN, the same way the ESPN app does. It checks ESPN again when you open My Players and about once a minute while it’s open.

What stays on your phone: Your ESPN sign-in pass is stored only on this phone, in its secure storage (the iPhone Keychain or Android Keystore), encrypted by your phone and locked to this device. It is never sent to MartinSports’ servers, so it can’t leak from them. The phone also remembers any waiver claims you sent through the app, so it can tell you later whether they went through; that list stays on the phone too.

What we keep: Only what we need to show your team and give fantasy advice: your league’s name and number, your team name and number, the players on your team with their positions, lineup spots and fantasy points, your league’s settings (lineup spots, scoring, roster limits and IR spots) and which players are on other teams in your league (so the waiver wire shows only available players; names and positions, never who owns them). That is the same kind of information we keep for Sleeper and Yahoo teams. When you ask Martin a waiver question, the app also sends him ESPN’s list of available players in your league with ESPN’s projections; it is used for that answer and not stored.

Changes only when you confirm: If you choose “Make these changes” (from Martin’s suggestions or Edit lineup), the app shows exactly what it will do to your ESPN team (start, bench, add, drop or a waiver claim) and sends it to ESPN from your phone only after you tap Confirm, one change at a time, then checks ESPN to show what went through. It never changes anything on its own, and never touches anyone else’s team.

What we never do: We never ask for or store your ESPN password, never keep your ESPN sign-in on our servers, never change your ESPN team without your confirmation, never post or message as you, never make trades, never use ESPN for scores or stats, and never share your ESPN information with anyone.

How to stop: Tap Log out under Import to erase the ESPN sign-in from this phone (your imported team stays; remove it under Your teams). Changing your ESPN password, or signing out of all devices on ESPN, also ends it. Deleting your MartinSports account removes your teams.

How we use it

To run the app: sign you in, show your players and teams, send the alerts you chose, run chat and pick’em, answer Martin AI questions, and provide Pro.

To keep the community safe: moderate chat, handle reports, and prevent abuse (for example rate limits).

To fix and improve the app. We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising. The only ads are the optional ones you choose to watch for an extra Martin AI question.

Who we share it with

Only the services that run the app for us, and only what each needs: Supabase (hosting, database and sign-in), Anthropic (the AI behind Martin, chat checks, news summaries and imports; it gets your question or message as text, never your name or email), RevenueCat, Apple and Google (subscriptions and sign-in; RevenueCat knows you only by your MartinSports account ID), Expo (push notifications, app updates and the web version), Resend (sends our sign-in emails, such as confirmation and password-reset emails, to your address), Google AdMob (the optional “watch an ad” for an extra Martin AI question, phone apps only), and, if enabled, Sentry and PostHog (anonymous crash reports and usage, phone apps only).

Ads: if you choose to watch a rewarded ad, Google AdMob shows it and receives your device and app information and an anonymous id we use to give you the extra question. We ask only for non-personalized ads (no ad tracking across apps). Pro has no ads. We don’t show gambling or sportsbook ads. Sponsors (“Presented by …”) are shown as their name and logo only; tapping one opens their site in your browser; we share nothing with them.

Sleeper, Yahoo and ESPN: when you connect a fantasy league, we read your team from that service. Sleeper and Yahoo are read by our servers (public Sleeper data; Yahoo through its official sign-in). ESPN is read by the app on your phone with your own ESPN session; we don’t send ESPN your MartinSports information. League standings and matchups show the other teams in your league with the team names and display names those services make public to league members.

Sports data providers (such as Highlightly, which includes FanDuel’s lines; SportsDataIO; CollegeFootballData.com; Wikidata; Apple Weather (WeatherKit) and the US National Weather Service for game-day forecasts; and the official NFL team and MLB.com news feeds) send us scores, plays, stats, highlights, lines, polls, weather and headlines; we don’t send them your personal information.

Add to calendar: when you add a game, the app opens your phone’s own calendar screen with the game filled in. We never read your calendar or keep anything from it.

To open faster, the app keeps a copy of public sports data (schedules, scores and rosters) on your phone or in your browser. It contains no personal information and is replaced every time the app loads.

Video highlights play in YouTube’s own player. When you play one, YouTube’s privacy policy applies to that video.

Other people see your username in chat and in pick’em leagues you join, and your picks after a game starts. They never see your email or your profile picture.

We may share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

As long as you have an account. When you delete your account (Account → Profile & login → Delete account), your account and everything tied to it (profile, picture, rosters, connected teams and Yahoo sign-in, chat messages, strikes, reports, picks, alerts) are deleted. Entries in our admin log keep the action but no longer point to you.

Some things expire sooner on their own: news and headlines after 14 days, alert-delivery records after 30 days, and game-timing measurements (which don’t involve you) after 14 days. Chat rooms for a game close a day after it ends; player chat shows the last 48 hours.

Your choices and rights

You can change your alerts, display settings, roster and connected teams at any time, turn off notifications in your phone’s settings, log out of ESPN or disconnect Yahoo under Import, and delete your account in the app.

You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it by emailing us. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU), you may have additional rights, and we’ll honor them.

Children

MartinSports isn’t meant for children. It shows sports betting lines for information only and is for adults: rated 17+ (18+ on Apple’s rating scale). We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Security

We use encrypted connections, keep secret keys only on our servers, and limit each person to their own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect yours.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and tell you in the app for important changes. Questions: email us at the address below.
